Building a sustainable recruitment business

When you join Auxeris, you are building a recruitment business of your own. The first 30 days are about creating structure and momentum. The habits you set now will shape your pipeline and lay the foundations for growth. Strong habits at the start will serve you for months and years to come. This framework is a guide, not a promise. Some markets deliver results quickly, others take longer. What matters is that you keep moving. Business comes to recruiters who stay consistent in their outreach and use a multi-channel approach.

And yes, picking up the phone is part of this. Inboxes are crowded. LinkedIn is noisy. A real conversation often opens doors that emails alone cannot. If you want opportunities, you need to be willing to make calls as well as send messages.

The good news is you are not doing this on your own. Auxeris is here to guide and support you as you build. The network, the tools, and the team are all in place to help you succeed and build the recruitment business that you want.

Your First 30 Days Roadmap

Week 1 – Set your foundation

  • Complete onboarding and set up your Auxeris profile

  • Define your niche and target companies. Write down which three sectors you will focus on

  • Meet with Jay to map your first BD campaign and agree clear KPIs

  • Build your outreach list. If you are on Pro, you can use up to 4,000 leads. If not, bring your own data and check it meets data protection standards

  • Complete mandatory data protection training with a suitable provider. You are the data owner, so you must know how to handle BD data safely and in line with the law

⚠ If you do not do this, you will drift. No targets, no structure, and no momentum.

Week 2 – Begin your outreach

  • Launch your first BD campaign

  • Spend 60–90 minutes every day on outreach (emails, LinkedIn messages, and calls)

  • Follow up on every warm lead quickly

  • Keep yourself accountable against your KPIs

⚠ If you stop here, your pipeline dries up. Restarting later is far harder than keeping momentum going.

Week 3 – Build conversations

  • Pick up the phone. Aim for 5–6 hours of live conversations this week

  • Start booking client meetings with Nicky supporting you. Two in your first month is a realistic goal

  • Begin a candidate sourcing campaign so you can show prospects your reach

  • Review progress with Jay and refine your messaging

⚠ If you avoid calls, you will stay invisible. Clients buy from people they trust, not from emails they ignore.

Week 4 – Convert and expand

  • Aim to book at least 2–3 client meetings this month

  • If you have existing clients, consider bringing one onto Auxeris. We will handle contracts, invoicing, and ongoing account care, freeing up your time and helping you secure repeat business

  • Engage with the Auxeris community at least once this week. Share your progress, ask questions, and support others

  • Plan your next sector focus and keep BD running while delivering roles

⚠ If you let BD stop while you deliver, you will always start again from zero.

What a successful week looks like by Day 30

By the end of your first month, the most successful Auxeris recruiters are spending their time like this:

  • 8–10 hours outreach: tailored emails and LinkedIn messages to prospects in your market

  • 5–6 hours live conversations: phone calls, follow-ups, and turning interest into meetings

  • 3–4 hours client delivery: CVs, updates, and moving roles forward

  • 2–3 hours development: working with Jay on BD strategy, refining your approach, and training where needed

  • 2–3 hours planning: reviewing progress and setting up the next week

Recruiters who build their time around this structure see faster results because their energy is spent where it matters most. Two client meetings in the first month is a reasonable expectation if you stick to this.

Why this matters

  1. Remember: you are building a recruitment business. Not HR. Not consultancy. Not coaching. Every hour you invest in staying focused on BD and delivery is building your future desk.

  2. If you do not keep up your BD, you will always be starting again from zero. If you stick with it, you build momentum. You must be resilient, outreach takes time. One placement often leads to three to five more roles from the same client, and Auxeris keeps those accounts warm for you so opportunities keep coming back.

  3. Data protection is non-negotiable. Failure to take responsibility for your training and compliance can cost you clients, revenue, and even your business. Clients trust recruiters who act professionally with data. Make sure you are one of them.

  4. Auxeris is here to support you. The business you are building is yours, with the flexibility you want in your life. No more meetings for meetings’ sake. Back yourself, stay consistent, and use the tools and network around you.
